I stay up to date with social media trends by actively spending time on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts and observing what formats, hooks, sounds, and editing styles are gaining traction. I pay attention to what top creators and brands are consistently posting, then break down why certain videos perform well.I also test trends myself by adapting them into different formats to see what resonates with audiences. This hands-on approach helps me not just follow trends, but understand how and why they work so I can apply them effectively in content strategy.
