How would you engage a new audience for a brand on TikTok?
I would engage a new audience on TikTok by focusing on strong hooks, trend alignment, and content that feels native to the platform from the very first second. I’d start by identifying relatable pain points, curiosity-driven questions, or visually satisfying moments that immediately grab attention and stop the scroll. From there, I’d introduce the brand naturally within a short, engaging storyline — either through quick demos, transformations, or real-life use cases — so it feels like part of the content rather than an ad. I’d also adapt trending sounds, formats, and editing styles to make the content feel current and familiar to TikTok users. Finally, I’d prioritize testing multiple content angles quickly, reading performance data like watch time and retention, and doubling down on what resonates. This helps build momentum and ensures the content keeps improving while expanding reach to a new audience.

What social media platform do you use most and why?
The platform I use most is TikTok because it’s the space where content feels the most dynamic, fast-paced, and trend-driven. I like how quickly you can test ideas, see real-time feedback, and understand what actually resonates with an audience through views, watch time, and engagement.I also like that TikTok rewards creativity and authenticity more than perfection, which makes it a great platform for experimenting with different hooks, storytelling styles, and content formats. It’s also where I stay most aware of trends, which is really useful for creating content that feels current and engaging.

what's a creative way you would lead sampling efforts both on and off campus?
I would make sampling feel like an experience rather than just a product handout, both on and off campus. On campus, I’d set up small, visually engaging pop-up moments where people can quickly try products on the spot — like mini “glam stations” or themed beauty corners that match a current trend or vibe (for example, a “Spring Break Glow-Up” setup). I’d also encourage short try-on moments that can be turned into content, so people are naturally sharing their experience while sampling.Off campus, I’d focus on high-traffic, lifestyle-driven areas and make it more interactive — like partnering with local events, cafés, or beauty-friendly spaces where people already have a social mindset. I’d also tie everything back to content creation, encouraging participants to take photos, film reactions, or join quick challenges so the sampling feels fun, shareable, and organically spreads the brand beyond the moment itself.
