What creators or brands do you think have really strong content right now?

I have to give a shameless plug to QuarterJade since I edit for her, and her content is genuinely some of the strongest in the gaming and lifestyle space right now. She has a really distinct personality that translates perfectly on camera, and her content never feels like it's trying too hard. It's a good example of what happens when the creator and the editing are both working together at a high level.

What are your go-to editing techniques to make a video more engaging?

Sound design is a big one for me. A well-placed sound effect can make an edit feel so much more alive without the viewer even noticing why. Beyond that I focus on creating visual interest through pacing and movement, keeping things dynamic enough to hold attention but never so busy that it pulls focus from the actual content.

What's an editing style you think is overused?

The hyper-aggressive jump cut every two seconds. The hyper-aggressive jump cut every two seconds. It used to feel energetic but at this point it just feels like a crutch, and it actually makes content harder to watch.
