I am lactose intolerant. In the past I used to be embarrassed to take a lactaid pill or avoid dairy, but I have become more comfortable being honest and helping spread awareness about this restriction. Being lactose intolerant, I find myself purposefully avoiding dairy items in fear of the way it makes me feel.
