Having variety and a profile that is catered to you is one of the most important things I look for when subscribing to a new streaming platform. Netflix does a good job at the personalization of each individual profile, but they currently lack variation. Netflix has been getting rid of many movies and shows that keep their subscribers with it which I believe will cost them many customers. I am also close to cutting ties with Netflix because I feel as though I receive the most out of my Hulu subscription. Hulu has a decent profile personalization and they are constantly putting out and recommending shows and movies that correlate to prior movies and shows I enjoyed. I also have a Peacock subscription and I believe that Peacocks greatest leg up are the shows individuals have grown close to but are unable to watch due to their cancelation on other streaming platforms. Examples include The Office and That 70's Show. I personally have a subscription with Peacock just to watch That 70's Show because of the connection I grew with the show before it was taken off Netflix.

Students are constantly searching for the next best thing in terms of social media. We saw this during summer when BeReal was put out and made the "new thing". Presenting something new is not the only challenge with new and upcoming social media apps, it is advertising like no other social media app has before. Being unique is one of the first creative aspects that students look out for when downloading new apps, but a lot of social media platforms stray away from uniqueness due to the fear of it being too out of the box. We all have instagram, snapchat, and twitter, but the reason those apps blew up and have done numbers ever since is because there was nothing like them at the beginning of their creation. Poparazzi has a fighting chance at becoming the "new thing" if they give into their uniqueness and advertise it correctly.
