Can you share a successful social media campaign you were involved in and the impact it had?
Of course! One of my most successful moments so far was a TikTok series I created around my “relatable homegirl” (hg) character. I tied it to a show that was trending at the time, which made it hit even harder. The series took off—my most viral video from it got over 375,000 views and 72,000+ likes. It wasn’t part of a paid campaign, but it really showed me the power of combining relatability with cultural moments. People were tagging their friends, sharing it, and commenting stuff like “You’re in my brain” or “This is literally me.” That engagement helped grow my audience and gave me the confidence to start building a real content strategy. Since then, I’ve had more brands take interest and I’ve started looking at my page as a business—not just a creative outlet.

How do you stay up-to-date with the latest trends on TikTok and Instagram for content creation?
As a college creator, staying on top of TikTok and Instagram trends is part of my daily routine. I dedicate time every day to scrolling intentionally through my For You Page and Reels feed—not just as a user, but as a strategist—taking note of trending audio, formats, and creator styles. I also follow trend forecasting accounts like @wavewyld and @helloyassine, keep tabs on the TikTok Creative Center, and track audio popularity and hashtag velocity using tools like Trendpop and Tokboard.
