One thing media brands can do better to appeal to Gen Z on TikTok is to showcase the people and daily work of their employees. Gen Z loves to feel close to a brand and know more than just want they are selling.

Sports drive a certain kind of consumer behavior that not a lot of areas can. Sports creates loyalty feel for consumers when they think about their favorite teams. The more loyal you are to a team, the more likely you are to buy tickets to their games, buy their merchandise, and discuss them with your friends.

I worked at Nordstrom as a sales associate for majority of my high school and college experience. During that time I was commissioned so selling was the main driver for my pay. I worked in the women's activewear department which had a wide range of product and price points. My favorite items to sell were Canada Goose jackets and I became the top seller of those in my department, once I learned about the product I was able to talk about the features and the brand in a way that made the customer feel like that was their best option for outerwear.
