How do you define and measure success for a social media account?
To me, success on social media depends on the goals of the account. If the goal is to build community, then I’d look at engagement—likes, comments, shares, saves, and how often people interact with the content. If the goal is growth, I’d focus on follower count, reach, and how many new people are seeing and following the account. For sales or promotions, I’d look at link clicks, conversions, or how well content is driving traffic to a website or product page.I also think success shows up in less obvious ways—like seeing more people share posts, respond to Stories, or tag their friends. That shows the content is meaningful and connecting with people.I’d use analytics tools (like Instagram Insights or platform-specific dashboards) to track what’s working and use that data to adjust strategy. Overall, I think success is a mix of hitting key numbers and also building a real connection with the audience.

Can you walk us through a successful social media campaign you've managed in the past?
I haven’t led a full social media campaign yet, but if I had, I imagine a successful one would start with identifying a clear goal — like increasing brand awareness, driving engagement, or promoting a specific product or event. From there, I’d research the target audience to understand what type of content resonates with them and what platforms they’re most active on.Then, I’d develop a content strategy with a mix of visuals, captions, and interactive elements like polls, reels, or user-generated content to keep people engaged. I’d create a content calendar to stay consistent, track performance through analytics, and make adjustments based on what’s working best.I’m really passionate about social media and pay close attention to trends, audience behavior, and creative storytelling. I believe with that mindset and dedication, I can confidently take on campaign work and grow into the role in a way that supports your team’s goals.

How do you stay updated on the latest social media trends and incorporate them into content strategies?
I stay updated on social media trends by spending time daily on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X paying close attention to what’s trending in audio, hashtags, challenges, and content formats. I also follow creators, brand pages, and trend forecast accounts to catch early waves before they go viral. When I see a trend gaining traction, I think about how it can align with a brand’s personality or message. I’m big on making trends feel natural—not forced—so I’ll adjust them to fit the product or brand I’m promoting, whether that’s through humor, storytelling, or a creative twist. Timing is everything, so I try to act quickly while still keeping the content high quality and on-brand
