For three years, I was in charge of the social media account for my school's Social Justice Council. This role included promoting council events, raising money for charitable causes and drawing in more students to council meetings. I defined success in this role as being sincere and creating a strong community. In my opinion, these two are key. They lead to a larger number of people who choose to see and engage with our posts, and also stronger and more accurate impressions of our council. It took time to do this, but eventually we were able to generate leads that were turned into success.
