Tell me about a time you experimented with content creation or marketing—what worked, what didn’t, and what did you learn?

One time, I experimented with short-form video content to promote a podcast, and I tried posting teaser clips on different platforms to see which one worked best. What worked was posting on TikTok and Instagram Reels because the algorithm pushed the content to more people, especially when I used trending sounds and hashtags. What didn’t work was posting long clips on Facebook because the engagement was super low, and people didn’t really watch till the end.

I learned that short, engaging content with eye-catching captions and edits gets way more traction, and it’s important to test different platforms instead of assuming one strategy works everywhere. Also, consistency is key—posting regularly kept the audience engaged and made them come back for more

Can you walk me through your process for editing a video and audio podcast episode from raw footage to final upload?

First, you gotta organize your files by putting all your raw footage, audio, and graphics in separate folders so everything is easy to find. Then, you sync the audio and video, especially if you recorded them separately, using claps or waveforms to match them perfectly.

After that, you clean up the audio by removing background noise, adjusting volume levels, and adding some EQ and compression to make it sound crisp. Once the audio is set, you move on to video editing by cutting out dead air, awkward pauses, and filler words, then adding jump cuts, transitions, and maybe some zoom-ins to keep it engaging.

To make the video look pro, you do some color correction to adjust brightness and contrast, then overlay graphics like name tags, captions, or episode titles. After everything looks and sounds clean, you do a final review, watch and listen for any mistakes, then export in high-quality formats—MP3 for audio and MP4 for video. Finally, you upload it to your platform, add a catchy title and description, and promote it like crazy on social med

What strategies would you use to help grow a podcast’s audience, especially on social media?

If you wanna grow your podcast on social media, you have to make your profile super legit with a clean bio and eye-catching visuals. You should post short clips, funny moments, or teasers consistently so people stay hooked. Engaging with your audience is a must, so reply to comments, do Q&As, and make them feel part of the squad. Collabing with guests, influencers, or other podcasters will also help you reach new listeners. Don’t forget to use relevant hashtags and trends to boost visibility. If you have budget, running ads can help target the right audience. Lastly, giveaways and exclusive content will keep people excited and talking about your podcast.
