Share a few of the most impactful traditions as it relates to March Madness on your campus?

Howard University recently made it's first March Madness appearance in over 35 years! Although we have no set traditions, each year we as students support the team striving to get us back into the tournament again!

If Uber were to host an activation on campus during March Madness, what would be your best idea for the brand to uniquely engage students?

If Uber were to host an activation on campus during March Madness, I’d suggest creating an experience that not only captures the excitement of basketball but also celebrates the vibrant Black culture and Howard University’s rich legacy. Here’s my enhanced idea:"The Uber Fast Break Lounge: HU Edition"This would be a culturally immersive pop-up that reflects the essence of Howard’s community, blending the thrill of March Madness with elements of Black culture and student life.Fast Break Rides with a Cultural Twist: Partner with Howard student organizations, like Greek-letter organizations and the Howard University Student Association, to offer free or discounted Uber rides during tournament nights, encouraging safe travel while tying in a community-driven message of unity and support.Cultural Game-Time Challenges: Host mini basketball shootouts with a twist. Each round could incorporate elements of Black culture—like music battles where players have to identify iconic R&B, hip-hop, or go-go tracks before shooting. Winners can score Uber credits, exclusive Howard-inspired merchandise, or even tickets to a live March Madness game.Legacy Fan Zone: Create a "Fan Zone" showcasing Howard’s basketball highlights, including moments from legendary players who’ve represented HU. The space could feature large screens streaming March Madness games, alongside a wall of HU sports history to engage students and alumni alike.
