In a previous project, I built an automated abandoned cart flow using Shopify integrated with Klaviyo, where the trigger was a user adding products to their cart but not completing the purchase within 30–60 minutes; the flow started with a reminder email highlighting the items left behind, followed by a second email after 24 hours with social proof (reviews and testimonials), and a final message after 48 hours offering a limited-time discount to drive conversion, while dynamically personalizing content based on user behavior and cart value; in parallel, I set up a DM automation on Instagram that triggered when users engaged with specific keywords or story replies, guiding them through product discovery and sharing direct purchase links, which helped reduce drop-offs and improve both engagement and conversion rates.

Which tools do you prefer for automating email campaigns and why?
I prefer using tools like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and sometimes Omnisend depending on the business stage, because each serves a specific purpose in automation—Klaviyo is my top choice for e-commerce (especially with Shopify) due to its advanced segmentation, predictive analytics, and highly personalized automation flows that can significantly improve conversions , while Mailchimp is ideal for startups or smaller teams because of its user-friendly interface, templates, and quick setup for basic automated journeys ; for brands looking for a balance between ease of use and multichannel automation (email + SMS), Omnisend is a strong option with built-in AI tools and ready-to-use workflows, making campaign execution faster and more efficient —overall, my preference depends on scalability needs, but I prioritize tools that offer strong automation, data-driven personalization, and seamless integration with the e-commerce ecosystem

To improve a Shopify customer journey using AI, I would focus on personalization, automation, and predictive insights across every touchpoint—starting with AI-driven product recommendations based on browsing behavior and past purchases to increase conversion rates, followed by intelligent chatbots that provide real-time support, answer FAQs, and guide users through the buying process; I would implement automated email and WhatsApp flows for cart abandonment, post-purchase follow-ups, and re-engagement using tools like Klaviyo, while also leveraging AI for dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization; additionally, I’d use customer data to segment audiences and deliver hyper-personalized content and offers, ensuring a seamless, relevant, and efficient experience that not only boosts sales but also improves customer retention and lifetime value.
