Gold Ear Cuff Tester

Can you give an example of a piece of jewelry you tested in the past and the insights you provided for improvement?

A friend of mine was involved in a design class. For one of his projects, he designed a chain bracelet for a class project. He asked me if I could wear for it a couple of days to see how it holds up.

I wore it for a few days during my daily routine - going to class, typing on my laptop, and sleeping to see how it held up with everyday wear. By the third day, I noticed that the clasp sometimes came loose when I was moving around a lot, and the chain occasionally caught on sweater sleeves.

After a couple days, I have him that feedback, and he ended up switching to a more secure clasp and adjusted the links to make them a bit tighter. The revised version was much more durable and comfortable for daily wear!

How would you approach testing the durability of the ear cuff in different scenarios?

To test the durability of the gold ear cuff, I would begin by wearing it in various everyday situations—like walking around campus, putting on and taking off headphones, or changing outfits—to see how it holds up during normal use. Additionally, I would gently take it on and off several times to test and check if it maintains its shape and fit.

Another factor I would consider is how it reacts to things like skin contact, sweat, or light moisture over time as someone with sensitive ears.

Throughout the process of wearing the ear cuff, I would actively take notes on any changes I notice—like if it loosens, bends, or loses its shine—so I can give useful feedback!
