Content on tiktok, goes viral when it is in accordance with the platforms’ guidelines on attention, retention, and interaction. Given the following core principles, you can better your chances at going viral on the platforms, and how you can implement them to your advantage. Strong Hook in the First 1-3 Seconds. TikTok is known for making quick decisions when it comes to videos.To capture your audience’s attention in the first 1-3 seconds, you need some kind of bold statement, surprising visuals, or curiosity to retain your audience’s attention. This can best be achieved with: motion, emotion, or curiosity. A strong statement can be, “Nobody tells you this about…” or you can show the end result before the process.High Watch Time (Especially Completions & Replays)The priority videos for TikTok are the ones that are watched all the way through (and ones that are rewatched) and will present those to more people.To increase your chances, you need to reduce the length of your video. Videos with a length of approximately 7-20 seconds perform better than others, and you can end your video in such a way that it loops to the start again, and also avoid having slow intros.
