I'm more comfortable with Cap Cut as I have past experience as an editor (shows, TV, etc.), and while I've transitioned away from creating fandom content, the skills I learned in editing still remain.

What editing techniques do you use to make content stand out on TikTok?
First impressions are important. A quick attention-grabbing header like "POV: my summer glow up starts now" or "day in the life of someone prioritizing healing" allows the audience to get straight to the point. Fonts, color, and placement of this beginning header are another important element; I usually go for yellow, cursive font in the middle of the screen. Short, quick clips keep the audience's attention and retain watchers throughout short-form content. Finally, the clips that are chosen should be interesting - each clip is it's own conversation starter.
