How much out of the year are you in Iowa?

I’m currently a full-time college student living on campus, so I’m in Iowa throughout the academic year—usually from late August through May. During summer breaks, I’m typically away for internships, travel, or personal time.

Any examples of you having good organization / communication?

In my role as marketing chair for ALPFA, I coordinated a campus-wide event that involved multiple student organizations with different goals and audiences. To keep everything on track, I created a detailed timeline and communication plan that clearly outlined tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities for each team. I maintained regular check-ins and used group messaging apps to ensure everyone stayed informed and any issues were addressed quickly. This organization and open communication helped the event run smoothly and resulted in strong attendance and positive feedback from participants.

Can you describe a time when you used storytelling to engage your audience on social media?

One time, I created a video sharing my real college experience for a class project. I talked honestly about the challenges, the highs, and what I’ve learned along the way. By telling my story in a relatable and authentic way, I was able to connect with other students who felt the same or were curious about college life. Many people commented that it helped them feel less alone or more prepared for their own journey. That showed me how powerful storytelling about everyday experiences can be in engaging and supporting an audience.
