I think what would make my peers care about personal finance is showing them how it connects directly to their everyday goals. Most college students want to travel, move out on their own, or simply stop stressing about money, so if they realize that budgeting, saving, and building credit are the keys to that freedom, they’ll pay more attention.

How would you engage students during a busy campus event?
During a busy campus event, I would engage students by meeting them either at the Financial Aid Center or the Business Building. I’d set up an eye catching table with interactive elements like a quick money quiz or a spin-to-win prize wheel with small giveaways, so students feel encouraged to stop by.
