What is one resource that BBG could provide your club members?
One resource that Built By Girls could provide our club members is fun, shareable incentives that highlight their involvement in STEM. Gift cards or vouchers would motivate participation while rewarding their engagement. Exclusive BBG swag, like stickers, pins, or digital graphics, would give members something tangible or digital to show off on social media or LinkedIn. Digital badges or certificates for completing challenges or contributing to projects would provide professional recognition that members could proudly display while building their STEM profiles. These resources would make participation visible and rewarding while encouraging members to share their achievements and inspire others.

How would you make a presentation on BBG engaging to your club?
To make a Built By Girls presentation engaging for my club, I would focus on making it interactive, fun, and relatable. I would start with a quick icebreaker, asking members to share a STEM project they’re proud of or a challenge they’ve overcome. I’d walk them through the platform in a hands-on way, showing mentorship opportunities, career resources, and events. To keep it interactive, I would create a mini STEM challenge where members work in small teams to brainstorm solutions or design a project, tying it back to how Built By Girls supports future female, non-binary, and allied STEM leaders. I would also highlight real stories of young leaders who have used the platform to grow their careers. Finally, I would give a small takeaway, like a themed card or challenge to explore Built By Girls over the next week. My goal would be to make the session lively, empowering, and memorable, showing the club how the platform can support them in an exciting and personal way.

What STEM Organizations are you a part of?
I am actively involved in multiple STEM organizations as a biomedical engineering student at NCAT, the #1 producer of Black engineers. I am a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES). In NSBE, I serve as a Programs Intern, where I have experience organizing large-scale events for our 2,000 members. In BMES, I am the President Intern, helping lead initiatives and support member engagement. My involvement in these organizations has strengthened my leadership, event planning, and community-building skills, which I bring to every project I take on.
