what's a creative way you would lead sampling efforts both on and off campus?
A creative way to lead sampling efforts would be to turn them into an experience rather than a handout, like pop-up “get ready with us” or late-night study break stations where students can try products in a fun, social setting. On campus, I’d partner with student organizations, sororities, and events to integrate sampling naturally into moments students already care about. Off campus, I’d collaborate with local cafés, fitness studios, or nightlife events to reach students in their everyday routines. Encouraging participants to share their experience on social media with a branded hashtag would help extend the impact beyond the event itself.

How would you engage your audience to promote ColourPop products?
I would engage the audience by creating interactive, community-driven content like polls, shade match challenges, and “choose my look” posts that invite participation. Leveraging user-generated content through reposts, reviews, and creator collaborations would build trust and authenticity. I’d also use short-form video to showcase real-time application, swatches, and transformations in a fun, relatable way. Finally, tying product launches to trends, pop culture moments, and exclusive drops would keep the audience excited and coming back.

I love ColourPop’s bold, playful branding and how the company makes trend-forward makeup accessible without sacrificing quality. Their constant innovation, fast product drops, and collaborations keep the brand feeling fresh and culturally relevant. ColourPop also does an amazing job building community through social media by listening to customers and responding to what they actually want. Overall, the brand feels fun, inclusive, and approachable while still being creatively driven.
