Interview Questions
AHYUN (ahyunskin.com)
Business Development Summer Intern (June - July)

what are your current top 3 skincare brands and why?
My current top three skincare brands are Beauty of Joseon, Centella (by SKIN1004), and Medicube. I love Beauty of Joseon for how it combines traditional Korean herbal ingredients with modern formulations that feel gentle yet effective, especially their Glow Serum and Rice Sunscreen. Centella has been a go-to for calming my skin, and I really appreciate how minimal and lightweight their products are while still helping with redness and sensitivity. Medicube stands out to me because of their focus on clinically backed skincare and visible results, especially with their Zero Pore line. Each of these brands offers something unique, and I admire how they stay true to K-beauty’s emphasis on healthy, glowing skin.

How would you approach identifying potential retail partners for AHYUN?
To identify potential retail partners for AHYUN, I would start by researching stores that already carry similar skincare or K-beauty products, especially those that focus on clean or lip-focused skincare. I would look into both online and physical retailers that are known for supporting emerging beauty brands and have a strong customer base in the Gen Z and Millennial demographics. I would also explore where comparable brands like Laneige or Glow Recipe are currently stocked to get a better sense of what kinds of retailers are open to new lip care products. Using platforms like Instagram and TikTok, I would search for boutiques or concept stores that align with AHYUN’s aesthetic and values, and begin compiling a list of potential partners. I’d prioritize those that not only share a similar audience but also have engaged communities and a history of spotlighting up-and-coming skincare brands. Once I have a curated list, I would begin reaching out through email or social media, introducing AHYUN’s story and products in a personalized way that shows how it fits with the store’s current offerings. Throughout this process, I would keep track of responses and refine my approach based on what’s working to build real connections with potential partners.
Create and Cultivate
Campus Rep: Spread Awareness for the Create & Cultivate Festival

How would you leverage social media to promote Create & Cultivate Festival 2025?
To promote the Create & Cultivate Festival 2025, I’d take a genuine and community-focused approach to social media. Even though I’m still in the early stages of growing my platforms, I see this as the perfect opportunity to start building my presence with purpose. I would use Instagram Stories, Reels, and the close-friends feature to share exciting updates, countdowns, and behind-the-scenes looks, speaking directly to my network as if I’m recommending an event I truly care about. I’d create content that highlights the mission of Create & Cultivate by showcasing women-led panels, networking opportunities, and moments of personal growth. I’d tailor it to what resonates with my audience: ambition, community, and inspiration. I also plan to connect with niche student communities like entrepreneurship clubs, women in tech and business groups, and even group chats or Discord servers to help spread the word beyond just my profile. I know I may be starting small, but I’m ready to be creative, consistent, and intentional, and I believe that’s what makes social media truly powerful.
