What social media platforms do you believe are best for promoting wellness and beauty products?

I believe TikTok is the strongest platform for promoting wellness and beauty products—especially because short-form, authentic content performs extremely well in this niche. I currently have over 8k followers on TikTok, and my most-viewed video has reached more than 11 million views, so I’ve seen firsthand how powerful the platform can be for reaching Gen Z and creating viral moments. Instagram is also an ideal platform, since Gen Z is statistically most active there. Between Reels, Stories, and carousel posts, it’s easy to showcase products in a visually appealing and educational way. Using both TikTok and Instagram together allows for maximum reach, high engagement, and strong community building around wellness and beauty content.

How would you create content that feels authentic and engaging for a beauty brand?

I would create authentic and engaging content for a beauty brand by drawing from my real experiences and the niche I’ve already built online. I currently work with brands like Good Molecules, Bubble, and Rizos Curls, and I genuinely love the beauty space. As a brown-skinned girl, I also provide representation that I wish I had growing up, so my content naturally resonates with audiences who value diversity, inclusivity, and real results. To amplify reach, I would use strategies that have already proven successful for me—posting consistently with the #ASU hashtag, leveraging campus visibility, and even putting up flyers when relevant. These methods helped me grow my TikTok account to 8k followers and build the lifestyle I’m proud of today. Most importantly, I always try products before recommending them. I would test the brand’s products myself, record and edit honest content based on my real experience, and advocate for it in a way that feels genuine, personal, and trustworthy to my audience.
