Describe the way your favorite song makes your feel

My favourite song : “Cats on the Ceiling” by Ruel blends indie/pop and electro infused R&B with bedroom‑pop sensibilities. When I listen to “Cats on the Ceiling” on a sunny summer day, I feel light like I can finally breathe. It’s the kind of song that makes me pause and smile for no reason. It gives me this quiet happiness like I don’t need to have everything figured out in that moment. I feel a little nostalgic like I’m remembering something soft and distant but I also feel free and I love that. I feel more myself when I hear it. Calm, open and okay with whatever comes next.

Do you play or study music? if so, elaborate.

While I don’t formally study music, I’ve always had a deep, emotional connection to it enhancing my moods and productivity. As a designer and creative, I naturally think in metaphors and moods which helps me describe music in immersive, sensory terms. I enjoy curating playlists that reflect emotional states or specific moments whether it's deep-focus instrumentals, late-night soul or genre-blending global sounds. My personal taste leans toward emotionally rich, boundary-pushing music. Some favorites include “Cats on the Ceiling” by Ruel, “Love or Worship” by Sharpie Smile, “Anxiety” by Doechii, “Good Days” by SZA, “Stayaway” by MUNA, and “Take Me Where Your Heart Is” by Q. I gravitate toward songs that evoke vulnerability, nostalgia, or a sense of floating between genres and music that stays with you long after it ends. I’d love to bring that emotional sensitivity and sonic curiosity to Tamber’s Sonic Intelligence project.
