If you were planning a campus event or social activity, how might fragrance or scent customization fit into it?

If I were planning a campus event—especially at a school like Howard where creativity and culture are everything—I’d turn fragrance customization into an interactive self-expression experience, not just a table with perfumes.First, I’d set up a “Create Your Signature Scent” station where students could mix mini fragrance oils (floral, vanilla, woody, fresh, spicy) and build their own blend. We could have scent mood cards like Soft Girl Era, Main Character Energy, Clean & Academic, or Date Night Glow to help people choose a vibe that matches their personality.

Why do you think customizable fragrance experiences resonate with Gen Z consumers?

Customization allows us to layer, mix, and curate fragrances that match our mood, aesthetic, or even the vibe of the day — soft and clean for class, bold and warm for an event, or fresh and effortless for everyday. In a world where individuality and self-expression matter so much (especially online), having a signature or customizable scent feels empowering and authentic rather than mass-produced

How would you share your fragrance experience authentically with your audience?

’d share my fragrance experience by describing exactly how it makes me feel and where I’d realistically wear it—like whether it’s giving soft everyday glow, confident interview energy, or date-night elegance. I’d break down the scent in a relatable way (sweet, warm, clean, floral, etc.), talk about longevity (does it last 4 hours or 8+?), projection (is it subtle or room-filling?), and how it settles on my skin over time. Most importantly, I’d stay honest and specific—who it’s perfect for, who might not love it, and whether it’s worth the price—while keeping my bubbly personality so my audience feels like they’re getting a genuine recommendation from a friend.
