Can you share your experience with in-store promotions or sampling events?

At Target, I promoted featured items by engaging with guests and making sure they received the freshest products. On campus, through the Latino Business Association, I helped run weekly tabling events to promote the club and grow membership. Both taught me how to engage people face-to-face and spark interest in what I’m representing

How would you engage a hesitant customer to try a new product?

I would start by listening to the customer’s concerns to understand why they’re hesitant. Then, I’d highlight the value of the product in a way that connects to their needs for example, explaining how it can make their routine easier, healthier, or more enjoyable. If possible, I’d offer them a low pressure way to try it, like a sample, demo, or smaller size, so they can experience it firsthand without a big commitment. Most importantly, I’d focus on building trust by being informative and approachable rather than salesy that way, the customer feels comfortable making their own decision.
