what brands do you admire in the social and marketing space: think events, activations & social presence!

TikTok, for example, has integrated shopping features, and Instagram has similar tools that allow brands to showcase products in a fun, engaging way while driving direct sales. I believe one is Spotify. Spotify’s social media presence is creative and data-driven. With campaigns like Spotify Wrapped, they tap into user data to create shareable, personalized experiences that people love posting about. They also engage followers with interactive polls, playlists, and exclusive content from artists.

What is one social media trend you think will be big in the next 6-months?

Short-Form Video Content, particularly on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. As users increasingly prefer bite-sized content, short-form videos offer a quick, digestible way to consume information. Brands and influencers will continue leveraging this format to deliver engaging, creative content that holds attention without requiring a significant time investment. Short-form videos allow for a more casual, authentic feel, which resonates well with Gen Z and millennials.

What social media platform do you think is most crucial for a skincare brand to focus on and why?

I believe it is Instagram. Aesthetic appeal is key in the skincare industry, and Instagram’s photo-centric format allows brands to highlight their products in visually engaging ways. Instagram is the go-to platform for beauty and skincare influencers, who often share product reviews, tutorials, and personal experiences with their followers. Instagram’s use of hashtags helps brands reach a larger audience beyond their followers. Hashtags like #skincarecommunity or #glowingskin help skincare brands tap into specific interest groups, making it easier for new customers to discover the brand.
