How would you engage a busy shopper at a large event?

If I were trying to chat someone up at a big event, I’d just keep it super chill and not too "pushy." Here is the move: The Strategy: Give a Compliment + Keep it Quick • "Hey! Oh my gosh, I love your outfit—it looks so cute! Do you have literally ten seconds for a quick question? I promise I’ll be fast so you can get back to your shopping!" Why it works: • Be Sweet: Starting with a genuine compliment (like their shoes or bag) immediately breaks the ice. • The "Out": Telling them it’ll only take ten seconds makes them feel way less pressured. • The Vibe: Just smile and stay relaxed. If they say they’re too busy, just say, "No worries at all, have the best day!" and let them go. Keeping it low-key makes you way more approachable!
