I believe an editing style is never "overused"; the engagement comes from its execution, such as the content itself or the cohesiveness of colours used. However, I do think that an overuse of graphics, transitions, and font styles may cause "editor fatigue" and decrease the appeal of a video, especially when it comes to short-form content that relies heavily on viewer attention.

Casual and relatable vlog/get-ready-with-me-style content creators such as @via.ilyou, @baileeyyb, @aaashleyk. I also think Billie Eilish currently has a really strong, unique style in her Instagram posts, especially in pictures from her recent tour. The orange and blue colour palette in professional photos and posters blends really well with her casual photo dumps.

Using sound effects or background music, and adding closed captions to improve viewers' comprehension of video content. I also try not to hold on to one take for too long, as audience attention decreases every second when there is no cut in between clips.
