What is your cultural background?
My cultural background is Yoruba from Nigeria, and that’s a big part of my identity. Everything from the language to the traditions and values I grew up with, but I also spent 18 years living in South Africa, so a lot of my experiences and perspectives are shaped by South African culture too. I basically grew up between the two, so I naturally blend Yoruba heritage with South African influences in the way I speak, think, and create content.

How do you make your content feel relatable to the Desi community?
I make my content feel relatable to the Desi community by weaving in little cultural details that people instantly recognize. That includes familiar expressions, inside jokes, everyday struggles, and references to things we all grew up with; like family dynamics, school memories, festivals, and even the funny superstitions or habits we all know. I also keep the tone friendly and conversational, because Desi audiences respond well to content that feels like it’s coming from a cousin or a friend. Whether it’s humor, nostalgia, or shared experiences, I try to make people feel seen and understood.

What kind of TikTok video do you think would make Masala Mix go viral?
For Masala Mix as a game, I think a viral TikTok would be one that highlights the chaos and fun of the gameplay in a quick, humorous way. Something like a ‘POV: You thought this level was easy… until Masala Mix humbled you’ trend. Showing fast cuts of unexpected twists, near wins, funny fails, and dramatic reactions would keep people hooked. TikTok loves relatable gaming moments, so anything that makes players go, ‘OMG this is me too’ could easily take off. Adding a challenge like ‘Show me your wildest Masala Mix moment’ would encourage stitches and boost virality.
