Do you have experience using Reddit in a personal and/or professional setting? If yes, add details.
Yes, I have experience using Reddit in both personal and professional settings. Personally, I’ve been active in communities like college and career guidance, which gave me firsthand insight into how students and young professionals engage with content and support each other. Professionally, I’ve applied this knowledge to community growth strategies by tailoring posts to subreddit cultures, using features like AMAs, flairs, and cross-posting to drive visibility, and engaging authentically to spark conversations. This has helped me understand how to balance relatability with value in order to build trust and long-term engagement.

How would you grow the H\FC community from scratch?
As a Reddit intern, I would grow the Home From College (H\FC) community by creating a relatable, supportive space for students and recent grads through authentic storytelling, weekly themed posts, and AMA threads with young professionals. I’d seed conversations with prompts and challenges, collaborate with subreddits like r/college and r/careerguidance to drive visibility, and recognize members with flairs or shoutouts to build loyalty. By keeping the tone approachable and peer-driven, H\FC would feel like a supportive group chat while delivering real value through resources, connections, and shared experiences.
