What is one resource that BBG could provide your club members?

One resource that BBG could provide our club members is exclusive access to mentorship sessions with professionals working in STEM-related careers. Many students know they want to join the tech or engineering space, but they don’t know where to start or how to navigate internships, networking, and skill-building. Having direct mentorship—whether virtual or in-person—would give them guidance, career clarity, and confidence when pursuing STEM opportunities.

How would you make a presentation on BBG engaging to your club?

To make a presentation on Built By Girls engaging, I would focus on interactive content, real stories, and clear value. I’d start with a hook—like a surprising statistic about women in STEM or a short success story of a BBG alum—to instantly capture attention.

Instead of a lecture-style presentation, I’d use:

short videos or visuals

quick polls or live questions

and relatable examples of how BBG opportunities translate into skills, mentorship, and internships.

I’d highlight concrete benefits—like career guidance, networking, and hands-on experience—so members can clearly see how BBG supports their goals. To keep the session dynamic, I’d incorporate discussions, personal reflections, and a Q&A segment.

I’d conclude with an easy call-to-action using QR codes and sign-ups, so members can join on the spot. This approach ensures not just engagement, but actual participation and measurable outcomes like newsletter signups and surveys.

What STEM Organizations are you a part of?

I’m not currently a member of a formal STEM organization, but I’m actively involved in campus tech communities and events. I collaborate with students in computer science, engineering, and entrepreneurship clubs, and I can leverage those networks to promote BBG and engage with women and non-binary students in STEM.
