Can you describe a time when you had to analyze feedback data to derive actionable insights?
Through my time serving as a State officer for Arizona DECA, a business organization of over 6000 students, I gathered feedback from graduated alumni of the program to see how many stayed involved and volunteered after. Ultimately I found that 90% of these alumni chose not to volunteer due to poor outreach by Arizona DECA and little incentive to stay involved. The small percentage of alumni who were more involved, were typically those who served in high leadership roles. Based on these insights I proposed that Arizona DECA incentives former students to volunteer by offering alumni opportunities to work with the organizations sponsors for internships and leadership development.

How do you approach gathering feedback from a diverse group of student participants?
I would take a varied approach to collecting feedback. Flexible feedback options, as well as a comfortable, judgement free environment are essential to collecting accurate data. Asking followup questions can also help to gather context on answers, and better understand why students carry the sentiments that they do, as well as giving better insights into what recommendations I can provide.
