Diogenes lived in a barrel and rejected all luxury. Sell him a bottle of premium extra virgin in three sentences.
Diogenes, this isn’t luxury for luxury’s sake but it’s simple, honest food made well. A few drops can turn bread, vegetables, or whatever you find into a better meal without adding excess or waste. If virtue is living according to nature, this olive oil is about as close to nature as it gets.

Have you done any olive oil taste testing before?
Yes, when I went to New York!

What criteria do you consider when evaluating olive oil quality?
When evaluating olive oil, I pay attention to factors like flavor, aroma, texture, and overall quality. I look for whether the oil tastes fresh and balanced, if it has fruity or peppery notes, and how it compares to what I would typically buy from a grocery store. I also consider how versatile it is and whether I would actually use it in my everyday cooking, such as in salads, dipping bread, or finishing dishes. Since this project involves a side-by-side comparison, I’d focus on the differences in taste, smoothness, and overall experience between the artisan olive oil and a standard supermarket option.
Finally, I think about value from a consumer perspective. If I were deciding whether to spend $40 on a bottle of olive oil, I would consider whether the quality, taste, sourcing, and overall experience justify the premium price and whether it feels meaningfully different from lower-cost alternatives.
