Can you describe your experience with Canva or similar design tools?

I’ve used Canva mainly for class presentations and small projects, like designing posters for assignments and some personal creative work. Through that, I’ve gotten comfortable with the basics, choosing templates, customizing layouts, working with color palettes, and adding visuals to make content more engaging. While I haven’t used Canva for large-scale campaigns yet, I enjoy design and I’m quick to pick up new tools. I’d be excited to build on what I know and apply it in a more professional, marketing-focused setting.

What do you think makes an ad creative effective for a beauty brand?

There are a few things that make a beauty brands ads effective in my eyes. First, above all else telling a story that has a purpose. People don’t just buy products, they buy confidence, self-expression, and empowerment. An ad that ties the product to how it makes someone feel is powerful. Second, ads that showcase real people of different skin tones, ages, and styles resonates more broadly. Audiences are quick to call out inauthentic or overly retouched content. To tie into this authenticity another effective tactic is the before and affect effect. This shows instant proof so that viewers don’t have to imagine results; they see them. This builds trust and reduces skepticism. The after part doesn’t just show glossy hair, long lashes, or plump lips but it displays confidence and radiants self expression. This effect is seen a lot in influencer marketing and it definitely has a strong impact on younger generations who are always on their phones searching for new products and their results.

How would you showcase the unique benefits of Winona Popcorn Spray in your content?

By showcasing its benefits in engaging short form video content. Ideas that come to mind include; movie night must haves (highlighting the spray), study snacks (quick easy spray that helps make studying more enjoyable and rewarding), and a popcorn challenge (start a challenge on tik tok where you throw popcorn into your friends mouth and have them guess the flavor of the Winona popcorn spray on each piece). These are just a few ways I could showcase this product in a fun engaging way!
