I think Aspen (Overwatch Twitch streamer) has cultivated a very strong audience over the past couple years. She engages in trends (usually on TikTok/Instagram) that align with her audience demographic, which has made her a household name in the streaming/gaming sphere.

I find captions to be very engaging, especially those which only show a few words at a time. This constant update of words creates a hypnotizing effect. Sound effects also do a wonderful job of keeping a viewer's attention by giving frequent stimulus to latch on to.

I think an editing style that's overused is one where the video is ran through a number of filters, turning it into a garish hodgepodge of oversaturated colors. I think the intent with this style is to draw the eye, but I think it's an eyesore and makes any content presented that way seem immature and desperate for attention.
