KNowing the tone and Style expectations in the GIG description, Brainstorm a concept you'd bring to life if you're accepted into this GIG.
If I get the opportunity, I will make a tension to bring attention. For example, the GIG will be when doing compressor 3 minutes before the end deadline, which every student has had this night.
Opening hook (sec 0 to 3)
"It's 11:57pm. My portfolio submission closes at midnight. And my file is 847 megabytes."
1. The chaos reveal
"It's 11:57. Portfolio submission closes at midnight. And my file.. is 847 megabytes."
(Face on camera. Tired eyes, studio lighting or just a lamp. Clock visible in the corner of the screen behind 11:57 pm.)
2. Show the actual mess
"The submission portal has a 20MB limit. This email — has been sitting in drafts for an hour."
Quick cuts: Illustrator export file showing 847MB. The submission portal upload page, red error or size warning visible. Email draft open, recipient field filled, attachment failed. Make it feel like three browser tabs of panic. (11:57 pm)
3. The clock hit : 2 minutes left (11:58 pm)
"Two minutes. Okay. Adobe Acrobat. Compress PDF. Let's go."Back to face. Short breath.
(Not panicking, focused. Cut to hands opening Acrobat fast. No smooth mouse movements. Real urgency. Add a subtle ticking sound or phone clock showing 11:58 in frame.)
4. Acrobat does the work "Compress PDF. High compression. Okay it's running. please be fast, please be fast"
(Screen record: open the 847MB file in Acrobat, click Tools → Compress PDF, select High compression, hit compress. Show the progress bar loading. Cut between the progress bar and your face watching it. No polished narration, mutter, react, check the clock again. The compression bar IS the tension. When it finishes, show the new file size clearly on screen. Hold on it for 2 full seconds.) 11:58-11:59 pm
5.The after drop
"847MB… to 11.4MB. And look. still crisp. Every page. Every drawing."
(Show both file sizes on screen together. make it visual, not just a voiceover. Quickly scroll through 2–3 portfolio pages inside Acrobat to prove quality held. with genuine relief)
6.Submit with 30 seconds left
"Upload. Send. Submitted."
(Show the upload going through on the portal. progress bar hitting 100%, green confirmation. Then cut to face. One slow exhale. Maybe close the laptop. Clock shows 11:59 in frame. Then hold on the Acrobat logo. clean, no voiceover, just the logo for 2 seconds. Let it speak. )
7.Comment-pull ending .
"What's the latest you've ever submitted something? Tell me I'm not alone."
