How do you usually keep track of tasks, follow-ups, or deadlines when things are moving fast?

When things are moving fast, I rely on a mix of digital tools and simple systems to stay on top of everything. I usually use Notion or Google Sheets to map out all my tasks and deadlines, especially if I'm juggling multiple pieces like follow-ups or ongoing projects. I build a Notion template myself that's very personalised and helps me out with almost everything. For quick reminders and time-sensitive stuff, I just use Google Calendar or phone notifications to make sure nothing slips. If I’m working on a bigger project, I like to break it down into smaller, trackable steps and check them off as I go. It helps me keep momentum and see where things stand without getting overwhelmed. I’ve found that the key is staying organised before things get chaotic, so even if everything speeds up, I already have a system in place to handle it.

Tell us about a time you helped something run more smoothly, or solved a problem on your own.

I was working on building an AI-powered tool to help simplify affiliate marketing, kind of like a personal side hustle. I didn’t have a full team or tons of resources, so I had to figure out how to organise everything from scratch, from planning out the features to connecting the frontend with the backend, even though I was still learning most of it myself. At one point, I hit a wall trying to make the content generation features work. There were so many moving parts, and it started getting messy fast. So instead of getting stuck, I stepped back and created a full system for myself, a clear folder structure, a task breakdown, and a checklist for every feature. I also documented what each part of the app did and kept a running list of bugs and ideas. That small change made a huge difference. Things started clicking faster, and I could actually track my progress without feeling overwhelmed. It was one of those moments where I realized that even without external pressure, I naturally like building systems that help things run smoother, especially when it’s something I care about.

What excites you about this role and working with JOVA?

What excites me most about this role with JOVA is how hands-on and fast paced it is. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys creating structure, building systems, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. So managing the CRM, supporting retail accounts, and helping with follow-ups and logistics all sound like areas where I could add value. I also love that the role offers the chance to work directly with the founder. I’m very curious and proactive by nature, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully while learning in real time from someone with a clear vision appeals to me. On top of that, I’ve always been interested in wellness and retail, and I’d be excited to support a brand that’s growing in such a thoughtful space.
