Interview Questions
JOVA
Business Development Intern (Health Food Startup)

How do you usually keep track of tasks, follow-ups, or deadlines when things are moving fast?
I am a but of a list person, usually starting my day with quick to-do list, on just my phone notes. For things with deadlines or follow-ups, I set up calendar reminders or use Google tasks so nothing slips through the cracks.

Tell us about a time you helped something run more smoothly, or solved a problem on your own.
During a college exhibition, I was part of a team setting up a live demo of a needle time tracking device we had made. On the day of the event, a key component wasnt working and the person handling it was stuck in traffic. Instead of panicking I quickly rewired the setup using similar alternate parts.(thanks to a bit of Arduino tinkering experience.) tested it and got it to work just in time. It wasn't perfect, but it worked. I've realised I enjoy problem-solving under pressure. Plus, it taught me that being resourceful often matters more than having everything go exactly to plan.

What excites you about this role and working with JOVA?
I love the mix of creativity and strategy that comes with business development. Figuring out how to grow something you believe in. What excites me the most about this role is the chance to work with a brand thats doing something meaningful in the wellness space, rather than just following trends
