If you set up in a park and people kept walking past without stopping, what would you try?
If people were walking past without stopping, I’d shift my approach to be more interactive and engaging. I’d start by bringing more energy and directly connecting with people, something simple like a friendly greeting or a quick, low-pressure question like, “Have you heard of this brand before?” or “Can I show you something really quick?” can help break that initial barrier and get people to pause. I’d also focus on making the setup more visually inviting. Highlighting key products, offering samples, or demonstrating something in real time so people can see the value immediately. If possible, I’d incorporate something experiential, like a quick trial or mini challenge, to turn the moment into an experience rather than just a pitch. If one approach isn’t working, I’m quick to adapt. I’d pay attention to what’s catching people’s attention and adjust my strategy to meet the crowd’s energy. My goal would be to turn passing interest into genuine curiosity and create a reason for people to stop and engage.

What's a brand you think does a really good job on social, and what makes it stand out to you?
A brand I think does a great job on social media is Topicals. What makes them stand out to me is how authentic and community-driven their content feels. They don’t just promote products, they create conversations around skin concerns, especially topics that are often overlooked, like hyperpigmentation and eczema, in a way that feels inclusive and honest. Their branding is bold, creative, and very culturally aware, which makes their content instantly recognizable. They also do a great job of engaging their audience through humor, relatable messaging, and user-generated content, which builds trust and makes people feel seen.

How would you engage a crowd unfamiliar with our brand?
I would engage a crowd unfamiliar with the brand by creating an inviting and memorable first interaction. I’d start by approaching people with positive energy and a genuine smile to make them feel comfortable. Then, I’d introduce the brand in a quick, relatable way, highlighting what makes it unique and why it’s worth their attention. I’d also use interactive approaches like asking questions, offering product demonstrations, or encouraging them to try or experience something hands-on. Creating a moment, not just a pitch, is key.
