Why are you passionate about Home From College and why should we hire you?

I think Home From College is one of the best ideas I've encountered. There's undoubtedly a need for it in the marketplace, especially for college students and new graduates. Having recently graduated from university myself, I understand the thought process and emotions of this demographic at this point in their lives. Home From College is a valuable tool for them to gain exposure to the gig economy and find unique job experience they might not otherwise encounter. I also admire how Home From College supports other small businesses and startups with their recruitment and growth. In my current position, I work one-on-one with small business owners daily and have seen the in-depth the challenges that come with starting and owning a small business. I'm all in-favor of tools that help small businesses and startups thrive.

Please share an experience where you managed a project from beginning to end.

During my time as Director of Social Events for my sorority, I was in charge of our first in-person formal back from COVID. With a significantly reduced budget compared to previous years and a 4-week deadline, I was able to book a venue and provide catering to over 150 attendees while remaining within budget. I managed the guest list, provided group transportation to the venue, and ensured our chapter stayed in compliance with our safety officer's standards. It was one of the most challenging events I've coordinated due to the lasting effects from COVID, such as limited venue options, inflated vendor prices, and a large amount of attendees. The event ultimately went smoothly and was a valuable learning experience.
