How do you define and measure success for a social media account?

Here's how I typically measure it: Engagement Rate – Are people liking, commenting, saving, and sharing the content? High engagement means the content resonates. Follower Growth – Quality over quantity. Are we attracting the right audience that aligns with our target demographic? Reach & Impressions – Is our content being seen widely, and is that reach growing over time? Traffic & Conversions – Are we driving clicks to the website, sign-ups, or purchases from social content? Content Performance – Which formats (Reels, carousels, Stories) are outperforming others, and why? Community Sentiment – Are we fostering positive interactions and building brand trust? Ultimately, I measure success by a combination of data and brand impact—looking at both analytics and how the audience is responding emotionally and behaviorally to the content.

Can you walk us through a successful social media campaign you've managed in the past?

Absolutely! One successful campaign I managed was for a local wellness brand launching a new line of adaptogenic drinks. We ran a 4-week campaign on Instagram and TikTok called #MoodMatch, where users could take a short quiz to match their mood with a drink flavor, then share their results with the hashtag. We kicked it off with short-form videos using trending audio, paired with bold, colorful visuals and influencer seeding. We partnered with wellness micro-influencers who created honest, lifestyle-driven content showing how they “matched” their mood and integrated the drink into their day. What made the campaign effective was its interactive element—people love engaging content that feels personal. We also stayed visually consistent and leaned into authenticity over polish, which helped it feel organic on both platforms. By the end of the campaign, we saw a 55% increase in web traffic, a 28% growth in Instagram followers, and over 1,200 user-generated posts using the hashtag. The product also sold out in two retail locations during the campaign window. The key was balancing fast-moving trends with a clear, brand-aligned message

How do you stay updated on the latest social media trends and incorporate them into content strategies?

I stay updated on the latest social media trends by actively monitoring platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) daily, not just as a user but with a strategic lens. I follow trend-focused accounts, subscribe to newsletters like Social Media Today, The Rundown, and Later, and stay plugged into creator communities where emerging formats often surface first. I also track analytics to see which content types are resonating in real time. When I spot a trend that aligns with my brand or audience, I move quickly to adapt it—putting a unique spin on it that fits the brand voice and goals. Whether it's a viral sound, a meme format, or a content challenge, I make sure the execution feels authentic rather than forced. The key is being fast, flexible, and always audience-first.
