How do you optimize a YouTube video for better search rankings?

I usually use Tubebuddy. First I do market research to see what people are actually searching for by searching different topics and reading comments to see what questions people are asking in order to identify pain points. Then I go into key word explorer where I try out different key words both short and long tail and asses the search volume, competition score, and overall key word score. I choose keywords that had medium to high search with low to medium competition and an overall score of good or very good. Once I have chosen a key word I optimize the title in description to use the keyword as many times throughout the title, description, and tags. I also do external research in google and/or chatgpt to find other related keywords that are highly searchable and relevant to the video and use those as much as I can throughout the title, description, and tags. I try to make sure the overall score in tube buddy is above 90% before posting. After publishing the video, I monitor it a couple hours after post, as well as the next day in order to asses if I need to make any adjustments to the title with the goal increasing traffic with any update.
