During my tenure as the Victoria's Secret PINK Campus Representative at Cal Poly SLO, I embraced the opportunity to initiate and execute impactful projects. One particular venture, spanning from September to mid-October, aimed at commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month, resonated deeply with the vibrant Hispanic community in the surrounding areas of San Luis Obispo. In my quest to shed light on a local gem, I collaborated with the esteemed local business, Life Elements, specializing in CBD wellness products. The vision was to fuse the influence of PINK and my personal platform to amplify the narrative of this unique mom and pop establishment. Taking a proactive approach, I reached out to the store owners, and to my delight, they were enthusiastic about the prospect of collaboration. Venturing into the neighboring city, I had the privilege of exploring Life Elements' manufacturing facility, gaining firsthand insights into the meticulous process behind their products. This immersive experience allowed me to document the creation of a bath bomb, where I even had the chance to craft one myself. The resulting video showcased not only the manufacturing process but also provided a glimpse into the welcoming ambiance of their store. Graciously, the owners extended their generosity by gifting me products for both the giveaway and personal use. Upon launching the video, featuring the giveaway, the response was overwhelmingly positive. We successfully garnered attention and shone a spotlight on Life Elements, fostering a sense of community and appreciation for this exceptional local business.
