During COVID, I felt very passionate about supporting local businesses as my local business owners were people I became very close to over time. Witnessing some businesses close down during COVID was heartbreaking. I wanted to be able to help support local businesses. I constantly posted my local businesses online and introduced all my friends to the business owners. We were able to help increase sales with a local business as many of our friends from different areas visited the restaurant and got takeout during the lockdown. Being able to spread the word and introduce people to the lovely local business owners and help their businesses was very fun and rewarding as people gathered for a great cause.
