The gigs are designed to fit around your schedule—whether you're still in school, just graduated, or balancing other commitments. I told them, "Why not take on part-time work that not only brings in extra cash but also helps you build experience in areas you might not have explored yet?" It's a great way to dip your toes into different industries, grow your skill set, and make meaningful connections—all on your own terms.

If I had one piece of feedback for Home From College, it would be to show up more intentionally on LinkedIn. Right now, a lot of the posts are reposts of creators tagging H\FC—which is awesome and shows real engagement! But I think there’s a huge opportunity to take it a step further by creating original, educational content about what Home From College actually does, how it supports students, and why brands should get involved. You could also focus on connecting with more small to midsize companies—those that might not know how to tap into Gen Z talent but would love to once they understand the value H\FC brings.

In my photography business, I once worked with a client who wanted to incorporate elements of their cultural heritage into a portrait session. Recognizing the importance and sensitivity of accurately representing cultural symbols, I took the initiative to research the significance of the requested elements and consulted with the client to understand their personal connection to them.
