Instead of reading line by line, I break the script into main ideas and speak around those points in my own voice, which keeps the delivery conversational. I also rewrite anything that sounds too formal so it matches how I actually talk, use brief pauses and emphasis like I would in real conversation, and record in short sections so my energy stays fresh. Thinking of one specific person I’m speaking to rather than “an audience” helps a lot, because it shifts the tone from performance to conversation, which feels much more authentic on camera.
