Can you walk me through your creative process when developing content ideas?

My creative process for coming up with content ideas is super organic and honestly a blast. It all starts with me diving into the social media world to get a feel for what's out there. I scroll through platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Reddit, Twitch, Discord, Telegram, Threads, and WeChat. Each one has its own flavor, like TikTok's short, punchy videos or Pinterest's endless visual inspiration. I look for trending hashtags, popular formats, or topics that people are hyped about to get a sense of what's connecting with audiences right now.

LinkedIn is a big part of my process too. I'm subscribed to a bunch of company pages there, and I love how they drop professional insights that spark ideas. Their posts on marketing strategies, storytelling techniques, or industry trends give me a ton to work with. I keep my notifications on for those pages, so I never miss a post that could inspire my next piece of content.

Once I've soaked up all that inspiration, I move into brainstorming mode. I grab a notebook or my phone and start jotting down every idea that pops into my head, no matter how wild. I mix in what I saw online with my own style to make it unique. For example, if I see a trending challenge on TikTok, I might think about how to adapt it for my audience with my own twist. I also love bouncing ideas off other creators in online communities or group chats. Getting their feedback helps me see what might hit home or what needs a bit more polish.

After that, I start testing things out. I’ll create quick drafts, like a rough video script, a mock-up graphic, or a short post, to see how it feels. I pay attention to what excites me and what I think my audience will vibe with. If something’s not quite right, I tweak it, maybe by switching up the tone or adding a new angle. I also keep an eye on analytics from past content to see what worked before, like which posts got the most engagement or shares.

Finally, I pull it all together and create the content, whether it’s a video, blog post, or something else. I’m always experimenting with new tools, like AI editing apps or design platforms, to make the process smoother and keep things fresh. The key for me is staying curious, connecting with other creators, and always being ready to jump on the latest trends while making it my own!

How do you stay up to date on social media trends?

I keep up with content creation trends by staying plugged into all the major social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Reddit, Twitch, Discord, Telegram, Threads, and WeChat. I scroll through to spot what’s trending, check out what creators are doing, and see what’s clicking with audiences. On LinkedIn, I’m subscribed to a bunch of company pages that share killer insights on marketing, storytelling, and industry trends. I also mess around with new tools and chat with other creators to stay fresh and roll with the latest vibes!
