When working at Pure Integrative Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Assistant in Summer 2021, a patient who was around 65 years old called the pharmacy, asking to receive a particular medication. In order to provide him with the medication, I had to set up an account for him with his personal information and insurance information, as well as get him to download an app on his phone. He was repeatedly getting confused, and I spent around 30-40 minutes on the phone with him to walk him through all the information and explain why we needed all this information from him. I was able to set up his account and he came into the pharmacy the next day and got his medication! He was very grateful and appreciated my patience in aiding him, especially since technology was not his strong suit.

Yes! My work at Pure Integrative Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Assistant very often involved engaging with, helping, and speaking to older seniors. One of my responsibilities was also to directly deliver medications to senior homes and interact with the seniors, committing to providing great customer service for all.
