What tools do you use when creating social media? How are your illustration and video creation skills?
When creating social media content, I mainly use tools like Canva for designing posts, stories, and carousels. It’s quick, flexible, and perfect for creating on-brand content efficiently. I also use CapCut for editing short videos and reels — it has great templates, effects, and is easy to adapt for different platforms like Instagram and YouTube Shorts.For planning and organizing content, I use Google Sheets or Notion to map out content calendars, track performance, and align ideas with campaign goals.As for my illustration and video creation skills — I wouldn’t call myself a professional illustrator or videographer, but I’m confident with basic design and editing. I’m constantly improving by studying content that performs well and testing different styles and formats myself. I’m also very open to feedback and enjoy learning new tools if it helps the team create better content.

When developing content ideas, I start by understanding the brand’s identity, target audience, and current goals. I make sure I’m clear on what the content needs to achieve, whether it's engagement, conversions, or brand awareness.Next, I research the audience’s behavior — what kind of content they interact with, what trends are popular in that niche, and what competitors are doing. This helps me identify patterns and opportunities.From there, I brainstorm concepts that are relevant, visually appealing, and aligned with the brand’s voice. I sketch out rough ideas for visuals, captions, and formats like carousels, reels, or stories. I usually put these into a content calendar to make sure there’s variety and consistency.Once I have the ideas down, I refine them by checking if they’re timely, on-brand, and realistic to execute. I also like to leave room for testing and adjustments based on how the audience responds.

I stay up to date on social media trends by combining hands-on observation with strategic research. I actively monitor what top creators, brands, and competitors are posting on platforms like Instagram and YouTube, paying close attention to shifts in content formats, visual styles, and engagement strategies.Alongside that, I regularly read industry newsletters like Social Media Today and Later Blog, which break down platform updates and algorithm changes in real time. I also follow marketing professionals and community forums where trends are discussed as they emerge.
