what's a creative way you would lead sampling efforts both on and off campus?
On campus, I’d set up outside the student union or library before big event times (club meetings, game days, formals) with a simple sign: “Pick your vibe: Natural | Glam | Bold.” People choose one, I help them swatch 1–2 shades fast (on a swatch card or disposable applicator), and they leave with a mini sample plus a QR code that takes them straight to the exact products and shades. I’d also add a quick “vote the shade” board so even people walking by can tap a favorite and it builds attention without feeling awkward. Off campus, I’d do the same concept at a coffee shop or local boutique during a small “try-on hour,” where customers get a mini sample with purchase and can scan a QR for shade demos filmed in that lighting. It’s easy, it feels natural, and it turns sampling into a quick experience people actually want to stop for.

How would you engage your audience to promote ColourPop products?
I’d engage my audience by making ColourPop feel easy, realistic, and fun for college life. On social media, I’d post quick, wearable content like “5-minute class makeup,” “day-to-night” looks for going out after campus, and honest mini reviews that show what the product actually looks like in natural light. I’d also keep it interactive by doing polls for shade picks, letting people vote on the next look, and sharing simple comparisons like two lip shades or two blushes so it’s easier for students to choose. On campus, I’d create low-pressure ways for people to try and talk about the products. That could look like partnering with student orgs for a small “get ready” moment before events, setting up a quick pop-up table with testers/swatches (where allowed) and QR codes for discounts, or doing a themed giveaway tied to campus events (game day, formal season, concerts). The goal would be to build genuine word-of-mouth by showing ColourPop in the settings students actually care about, and making the experience feel helpful.

what do you love about colourpop?
I love ColourPop because it makes makeup feel fun and approachable without being too expensive or overwhelming. I like experimenting a little with different shades and looks, and ColourPop lets me do that without feeling like I have to commit to one “perfect” product. It’s also been a go-to for me for easy everyday makeup, and I appreciate how the options feel current while still being practical for my budget.
