Campus Rep – Music & Creator Community (vers1ons)

Who are the most influential creators (artists/DJs/producers) at your school?
The most influential creators on campus are usually the student DJs who play at parties and events, independent artists who perform at open mics, and producers who make beats for others in the scene. There are also content creators who post music-related content on TikTok/Instagram and help songs gain traction quickly. Leaders of music clubs or campus radio stations also have strong influence because they control what gets played and promoted. Overall, it’s a mix of performers, curators, and social media tastemakers who shape what people listen to.

How would you make vers1ons feel cool on your campus?
I’d make vers1ons feel cool by embedding it into the campus music culture playing it at parties, open mics, and casual hangouts so people associate it with good vibes. I’d get influencers like DJs, performers, and club leaders to use and share it, making it feel naturally adopted rather than forced. I’d also create moments around it, like themed listening sessions or remix challenges, to spark engagement. Most importantly, I’d position it as something early adopters are discovering first, giving it that exclusive, trend setting feel.

What music communities are you part of on campus, and how would you introduce vers1ons to them?
I’m part of campus music communities like student-run clubs, open mic groups, and informal artist circles where people share and discover new sounds. I’d introduce vers1ons by playing it during hangouts or events, and sharing it in group chats and Discords where we already exchange music. I’d also suggest it for playlists used at club meetings or small performances to get organic exposure. Finally, I’d talk about what makes it unique so it feels like a genuine recommendation, not promotion.
